The Rag Coat

We started The Rag Coat this week. I have absolutely fallen in love with this book. These are the plans for the week:

• Study and locate the Appalachian Mountains


• Study Coal


• Make coal flowers


• Look at quilts


• Make a quilt square


• Look at artwork in the book and expressions used


• Books to go along with this: Silver Packages, Grandma's Attic, The Quilt Story
